Carla Trinca-Conley joined Berg Bryant Elder Law Group, PLLC in 2016. Carla’s dedication to her clients is based in her passion for servicing the elderly and their loved ones. She is always captivated by an individual’s unique story, and truly loves being able to lend assistance tailored to each and every client.
Carla leads the Berg Bryant legal team on guardianship cases – including guardianships over incapacitated adults, guardian advocacy proceedings for developmentally disabled individuals over 18, and guardianship proceedings of minors with funds received through personal injury actions or inheritance. Carla takes pride in navigating the hurdles and requirements of the Court that each guardian faces.
A strong advocate and believer in philanthropy, Carla volunteers her time to teach the guardianship education training class every three months. This eight-hour course is required for all guardians appointed by the Judges in the Fourth Judicial Circuit (Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties).
Carla also works extensively on probate, trust administration, and estate planning at Berg Bryant. Carla is passionate about lending assistance to families at the pivotal time after the death of a loved one, or helping clients – regardless of age – to prepare for their future by creating wills, trusts, special needs trusts, and advance directives such as power of attorney and health care surrogate documents.
Carla earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and graduated magna cum laude. While at Pitt, she pitched for the club softball program and wrote for The Pitt News. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor and Certificate in Elder Law from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois and graduated cum laude. During law school, Carla interned for The Honorable Ann Collins-Dole in the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County where she observed and assisted in proceedings involving guardianship of adults. Carla also served as President of the Elder Law Society, Teaching Assistant in Property Law, and a Moot Court Council Member.
Carla relocated to Florida in 2015 to be with her husband, a Naval Flight Officer stationed in Jacksonville. In her time away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Taylor, and dog, Finnley. She also loves visiting with her family in Buffalo, NY, and traveling. Carla is also a huge sports fan, especially of the Buffalo Bills!
Carla is an active member of the Florida State Guardianship Association. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar, Jacksonville Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and Golden Key International Honour Society.

“Carla was very good at explaining the details of a will to my elderly father. She answered all of our questions and my father was very pleased with what she was able to do for us. She also made me aware of other issues that I need to address to protect my father’s assets. I highly recommend her!”

They were quick to respond, always offering sound advice and doing so in a manner that made me feel as if they truly cared about my well being while understanding I was still grieving my Mom’s passing.
